FAQs

  • The photo session fee covers the session prep, the photo session itself and the editing of images. The photo session fee does not include images or prints.

  • If you have ever shopped for art of any kind before, you know prices are all over the map and that is certainly true with photography as well. And like with other art, those prices aren’t easily compared - it’s not apples to apples. With a session fee of $400 and collections starting at $1500, you’ll find that my work is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive in the area, but it does represent one of the best values. My average client spends $2400 on their session. With 6 years of dog photography experience and a satisfaction guarantee that I take very seriously, you can invest confidently knowing your money will be well spent.

  • Our schedule is pretty loose. Sessions usually average 45 minutes, sometimes they’re shorter and sometimes they’re longer. Your dog will tell us when they’re done and I always listen to your dog. I want your dog to have just as a good experience as you, when they’re done they are done!

  • Yes! If there is more than 1 dog, my partner Evan will be there to pupsit while we photograph one on one photos. If you’re pup isn’t a fan of new people (we get it!), I recommend bringing a friend along to help.

If you have more than 3 dogs, please bring an additional pup handler.

  • Your dog does not need to be still during our session. Your dog doesn’t need to know any commands, yes that is right! I practice my dog photography with force free methods. What does “force free” mean? It’s also referred to as R+, which is positive reward based methods. It means that we will not be punishing your dog in any way, we won’t be forcing them to do anything that they do not want to do. We will be allowing them to make their own choices and encourage them to be themselves so that I can capture them as they are. Your dog will lead the session, if they want to look off in to the distance, then you will look off in to the distance with them, if they want to plop and rollover for belly rubs, then we give belly rubs.
